All,

This may not be a true mileage run, although if I look at my flying, it's where I get the majority of my miles. Basically, I like (as many others do, I'm sure) to add as many miles as possible to flights that I'm going to take anyway. Current example:
Flying MSN or MKE or ORD to SFO in October, and am putting miles into WP account.
Basic MSN-MSP-SFO-MSP-MSN: 4178 miles and about $300.
I can instantly stretch that a little bit by flying DL instead of NW, and connecting through ATL: 5692 miles, $300 but no upgrades :(
Best I've found is a fare from MKE for $327 on almost entirely NW metal, flying: MKE-MSP-ATL-DTW-SFO-MSP-ATL-MKE: 7243 miles.
I can get the mileage higher but the price goes up with it.

Anyone have tips for most efficiently maximizing mileage on a trip?

If you look at it from a CPM point of view, this isn't super. However, since I'm going anyway, and $300 will be spent anyway, it is nice to get an extra ~3100 miles for $27. Those extra miles are running < 1CPM :).
