I searched and didn't quite find the right combination. JTG family will be arriving into JFK around 12:30am on a Saturday next month and heading directly to Tarrytown. I don't want the hassle of renting at JFK and driving the hour or so in unfamiliar territory at that hour of the morning. Can anyone recommend a good car or limo service? I know I'll be paying $100-150 but want a good, reliable service for 4 tired bodies.
Thanks in advance~

My company uses UTOG (http://www.utog.com) Car service. I use them often when I traveling for work.

you may want to be warry and possibly book two methods of transportation or at least have a plan B in tact. in my experience, drivers in NYC are easily woo-ed away to someone at the curb waving a $100 in their face, or offering to pay more than what you're paying.
a friend of mine and i got stuck in Newark at 1:00am when two drivers we double booked pulled a no-show. they eventually stopped answering our calls entirely after they "claimed" to be outside the airport terminal which we were at, so just be weary and make sure your drivers are going to be there.
in the end, we ended up taking a $80 cab-ride at 2am to the Upper-East side after getting the run-around for an hour.
you're almost better off renting a car for a day for $30 and paying for gas than bothering with drivers at that time of night. my friends dad had the same problem at jfk that we did at newark.
good luck! hope this helped...

Did you book those drivers through a reputable company or direct with the drivers?
There are a lot of town car drivers around that work independently. Those should be avoided unless you want to be disappointed. I believe that unless you call them for a dispatch it is illegal for them to pick you up and charge you a fare.
The companies that I've used have never let me down.
