Hi wondering if anyone on here has checked out his ebook(s)?

http://www.myairfaresecrets.com/

Is it worth it or just a compilation of outdated advice?

To other members, this link contains a referral, so that if you click on it, somebody, maybe the OP, Arada, makes money from your click.

I study airfares and wonder about some of the claims. One big thing that I noticed because I did look at this page before, and in my opinion, it is extremely sleazy behavior, the webpage tells you that today is the last day at the posted price after which, it will double. I look at at this page over a month ago, and it had that day's date then as well as the last date at the $24.95 price.

If you want to look at the page, just look at the plain one:

sorry about that...no am not making money on the referral. Just trying to find out about it. I have no doubt that this is gimmicky, but was wondering if anyone had actually bought it and if it had useful advice.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck .....

My (IMHO) useful advice would be not to waste your money on this dubious product @:-)

Welcome to FT, manifesto7. I don't mean to offend but, your opinion will carry greater weight here after you have a few more posts and a couple months under your belt.

Exactly.

A poster who signs up and the first post is about a very dubious site is not the most credible source of information.

Sorry, we just have too many people trying to promote their own cause

Thanks for your input manifesto7. I'm almost afraid to ask (given my first mistake with the referral link, people might still think I'm trying to promote the book, which I AM NOT!!) but was it practical advice that you have used with great effect or no? A "good read" doesn't really quantify the benefits enough for me.

Actually, probably a better thing would be for you to PM me (to avoid any more (understandable) posts about credibility-yours and mine), if you're willing to go into more detail wrt your experience of the book. I'd appreciate it!

I am pretty sure that the secrets are some sort of scam.

You could have searched the forum for my thread:

Although I did announce in the above thread that I'd stay away, my curiosity got stronger than restraint one late night and I bought this book...

I'd say it is moderately useful, primarily for beginners who are interested in domestic travel and don't participate in FT. It won't have much to offer most seasoned members of FT, which is a much better source of information as well as advice.

The book is actually better than its sleazy marketing might suggest. There is a "money-back guarantee" but that too is handled in a sleazy fashion. The guy keeps telling you that you haven't given his advice a fair shot yet and he is confident it would work (but if it doesn't, write him again because he does stand behind his work). And this goes on and on and on until you get tired and give up. :td:

Well, I don't think I have discarded my copy and anybody is welcome to buy it from me. Or I can donate it to a FT panel for evaluation and public review. :)
