I'm still pretty new to this... but I'd suggest using Farecompare as a starting point.. plug in STL as your preferred city (or whatever they call it) and see what comes up....

Good luck!:D

OK.. I had a quick look..... not a lot ex_STL on AA.... Best (?) was STL-FPO (Freeport Bahamas) for AUGUST ONLY ... $307 all in roundtrip... 2158 miles it seems.. (1079 oneway)

Is that 7cpm??? I'm not used to that calculation... my FF program is segment based...

Like I saids.. I'm new to this too.. hope one of the local experts comes along!!!!

why do you want the mi's?....it may help us to give better advice....

if you need qualifying mi's, use multi city to check out stl-left coast-right coast--stl....

if you need mi's for a reward, there are many threads here w/ways to get mi"s...you can buy them from aa, get a cc...etc

good luck...

For starters, you should have joined the local STL-based FT'ers for dinner last night. Several experts (not myself) were there who could have helped.

I'm sure you can improve on it, but I quickly see STL-SJU for $306 a/i during your time frame. This would give you 4443 miles (via ORD). Will the AA online booking bonus count toward Gold? (I warned you I'm not an AA expert.)

With your upcoming SYD trip, take a look at the wiki re. a challenge. Why settle for Gold? :)

Edit: Forgot to ask... do you have the AA Citi credit card? That should get you a few miles.

Def. get yourself to one of the STL FT gatherings :D.

I'm really short on time this a.m., and will think further on it later, (read: there's likely a better way, just can't think of it this second), but definitely check out the "sales" (okay, not the BEST prices, but a little better than usual) out to the west coast from "here....$200ish all in, with a few creative routing possibilities.

Hi, welcome to Flyer Talk! The link to our local group is in my signature. We try to get together for dinner about once a month. We have also done some "Fun Runs" together-in fact, this weekend Mr S & I are doing STL-ORD-DFW-SAT-DFW-ORD-STL run with GregL.

To get elite status credit miles you're going to have to fly. I second the suggestion of checking out Fare Compare for a comprehensive list of possible destinations.

$98++, total $146.40.

Two legs on a 777, 6 segs total, really helpful in requalifying for EXP

This weekend. You'd be more than welcome, but I doubt the fare is still available.

We booked it on Orbitz a couple of months ago.

The STL-SJU is a good idea, you can do a same day turn and the ORD-SJU portion can be done on the 767-300. $291 was the lowest price I beleive on Trave***y.com

polo123....

so what is your itin to syd.....

i realise that gold gets you 25% mi bonus....you must be on qf to syd....but i don't think that you can get exit row or any other benefit by being gold....

if you are planning to fly qf, on an aa code share or qf flight #, then you should look into the challenges....

good luck
