View Full Version : A bird in the AY transfer lounge

Someone is bound to know this one...

In the non-schengen AY/OW lounge at HEL there is a large birdcage very high up on the wall where the bar is - near the window. Most passangers won't probably even notice it because it sits on top of some of the fittings.

Yesterday it was empty and I meant to ask the ladies at front what the story was, but was a bit rushed in the end.

Not sure if this is AY equivalent of BA Terraces where they sometimes have bird 'sounds' playing for tranquility... They may have stopped doing this now though

Because of an equipment shortage Finnair leased the bird and it is now flying HEL-ARN-BOS in an all-economy configuration. :D
