HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have some very important images on a card. I shot a convention.
Camera (10D) was dropped by TSA on tile floor.
The images will not download from the camera or from a Card reader. Those that did download were just gray blanks..
What photo recovery software do you suggest?????????????

If they download as gray blanks that would say the card isn't the culprit but the images are.
Is the TSA going to accept responsibility for the damage to the camera?

That's still a felony in Alabama.

Seriously, I'd file a complaint with the TSA. Get a camera shop to diagnose the problem and opine that it was caused by the drop.

SanDisk rescue pro
Downloadable from their website for a rather small fee. Well worth it.

Give PhotoRec a go. It is free software, and will work with the raw disk.

Lexar ImageRescue is the soultion I use - do a deep scan to recover on it.
Free with Lexar Pro Cards... there's a Pro version too.

I think the problem is with my Canon Zoom Browser Software. I tried the Microsoft viewer and they all opened???
I need to do a download at the Canon site.

I used GetDataBack (http://www.runtime.org/gdb.htm) from Runtime on a couple of hard drives and a crap ... CF card. GDB recovered everything. Including some photos that had been deleted during a card re-format inside the camera.
From then on, we've been using Lexar Pro chips with no problems.
