I have a r/t upcoming next months from NRT
to FRA. I am booked on ANA but see a decent
rate on AZ via FCO which would give me much
needed miles on my NW WP account ( unless
it is an R fare, which I am not sure now ). How
is AZ service, how are the connections? As a
Skyteam Elite Plus will I get any benefits such
as seat selection or additional baggage allowance?

I have several times flown on AZ NRT to Europe route and collect NW miles. The problem now is that AZ failed last week's deadline to find a buyer for the 39% share of the Italian government. The Italian government now is in crisis and has to either reopen the bidding with less condtions and get a buyer or liquidate the airline. were you able to take advantage of special
