Yes they do, but the first row aisles are by far the best seats for me. Left hand side has no window (door), right hand side has somewhat restricted legroom, but I still like those. If your flight is not full, though, the further back you go the more chances of the middle seat remaining empty. It's a matter of personal choice. BTW speedy boarding is no guarantee of a specific seat as everybody in the group competes for the same ones and the option is popular.

I've flown with Easyjet several times and overall the service is good.

Try to get onto the plane as quickly as you can, so you have a greater choice of seats.

The exit row seats do have extra leg room so even at 6'3 tall I don't have the seat in fromt pressing into my legs. Even the normal seat pitch is just about bearable for a couple of hours, anyone shorter should be fine.

Obviously it's not Business class room, but your not paying business class prices.

I think that the suggestion to hope for an empty middle as you move towards the back might not work as well when you have a plane that loads from both the front and the back, which has always been my experience with EasyJet.

My hypothesis is that it's probably optimal to select a seat about 2/3 of the way back in that case.

If there are two of you, take a window and an aisle. I know some people suggest to put something in the middle seat, but I don't feel comfortable with that. But in any event, your middle seat will not be anyone's preferred choice, so will likely go unfilled if the plane is not near-full.

ok so if many people purchase the speedy boarding, how does the process work? As soon as you get through security, do you form a line?

I flew easyJet in February, LGW-SXF-LTN. Boarding is a lot like Southwest, but without the frivolity. At Gatwick, once the gate is assigned, in the waiting area there are rows of seating for group A, B, C and when boarding commences, they do speedy boarding group first. LGW uses a jetway, and they do enforce boarding sequence.

SXF used airstairs. Same order, Speedy boarding + families, then group A, etc. If they are loading using both front and back, and you get stuck behind a woman with three unruly kids (as I did), use the back entrance. While they're blocking the aisle storing everything they have, you can slip up the aisle into the exit row, which has plenty of extra legroom. Simply be prepared to respond in the affirmative when the flight attendant asks you if you're willing, able to assist in an evacuation.
