hi guys,

flying into phl next week from europe.

with family and kids. we only have a 90 minute connection for a domestic
flight.

can anybody tell me whats going on since us airways has so many
international flights this summer.

average immigration and customs times.
plus how is the average wait through security to get back
to the terminal . in our case terminal b or c.

i do not mind myself , but we have to small kids
and they are usually pretty tired after the long transatlantic flight.

we are coming in around 2 p.m.

would it make sense to leave the terminal after customs
and try to clear security for terminal b.
or would i t be better to go through that long hallway without leaving the terminal ( a to a west or east to b).

i would be peased to receive some insider tips.

thanks

90 minutes should be okay for getting through customs and connecting to your domestic leg.

Assuming your flights are on time, you won't have a lot of extra time in between. Personally, I would not recommend leaving the secure area. Really, there is nothing to see or do anyway, unless you really just want a smoke.

2 PM is usually a pretty slow time a PHL and the lines shouldn't be too long, but you never can tell. You didnt say what day of the week. Monday and Fridays are usually the worst.

I agree 90 minutes should be plenty on a normal day. I travel PHL-FRA and back a couple of times a year. It really depends on the day and time of your arrival in PHL. Another factor would be whether you are a US Citizen or green card holder, typically the immigration lines are faster. If you are entering the US on a visitor or work visa, these lines take longer.

It only happened once that I was in an immigration line for almost an hour. Several full international flights arrived at the same time on a weekend day and I have a work visa so those lines were packed.
