when you all have used miles to fly w/in the continental US, did USair require the use of 25k miles or 50k? i am planning a flight from DCA-MSY for personal reasons and i was wondering if i should just pay the $400 or use miles...i won't use 50k b/c i want to take an international flight in the next year so i need to keep a minimum of 120k in my acct...

Depending on your market and when you are going, you can get 25k saver awards, 50k awards, or even a combination of saver and standard at 37.5k. You can search for availability online and then make your decision. You do not need to call.
