Well sort of.

Are there any suggestions for a book or website that is geared towards a beginner (digital) photographer?

I have Scott Kelby'sThe Digital Photography Book on hold from the library, but I am open to any suggestions!

Thanks.

The two Bryan Peterson books are my standard "must buys" for a beginner. Kelby writes some very good books too, but most of what I've seen from him are software/gear/techie oriented. Bryan is a long-time professional and the books teach the art of photography - shutter speed, aperture, DoF, etc. in the first book and color/composition/lines/shapes/patterns/texture/etc. in the second.

He also had a DVD that helps really see what he writes about, if you're more visual.
