I've seen references in some guide books about getting a certain amount of discount for several internal flights, like an air pass, but I haven't been able to find any mention of such on the airline's web sites. I tried calling their 800 numbers and so far nobody picks up. Can anybody tell me if something similar is available anymore, and, if so, some details?

Thanks for pointing that out- Who would think of looking for it under 'Benefits'?.
Two things come to my mind- Is it really any cheaper than just buying the flights separately/ The coupons are based on miles flown, so I'll have to do some calculating on that issue, but at first blush it doesn't seem to offer much of an incentive.
And then, how do you book the thing if it were a good offer? The web page only says call the 800 # for more info. I've called that # several times and have stayed on hold for upwards of 10 minutes and no one answers.
Just a couple of things I'm wondering out loud about....

Great thread..... I always get asked about this and dont have all the answers... :D
In case this helps, there's a Oneworld Visit Pass for South America with price based on distance travelled. Minimum 3 flights, maximum 20.
LAN Argentina and LAN Ecuador will be part of oneworld on April 1st.

Not me :) Google is my friend.
You need to figure out where you want to go, and which airline flys there. Costs to popular tourist destinations (as a non-Argentine), can be quite expensive.

Check the airfares with the particular airlines you want to fly on and you
might find much cheaper air fares .
Example : I flew a month ago SCL-EZE , AEP-IGR-AEP , EZE-SCL
on LAN CHILE/LAN ARGENTINA .( all on one tkt , with stop over in each place ) . Cost : $ 290.51 ( all in )
On the MERCOSUR pass it would cost $455 ++ .
On the OW pass it would cost $560 ++.( and IGR is not even included
among the cities you can use this Pass for ).

This is why I mentioned the April 1st date when more destinations will be added to the OW pass.
