I have to travel to CJU (Korea) in the near future, and looking for better ways to up the mileage and potentially get some great sightseeing in at the same time. Any insight would be much appreciated. I will be originating from ATL on Delta (Silver status) and am looking for ways to bump the miles and/or stop at some great destinations. I have also looked into PEK, and returning through SVO or LON keeping the west direction, but I dont know if it's possible withough breaking the bank.

Also, so far none of the routes have me capable of upgrades :(

You might want to look at the sticky on fare rules, but the only other suggestion I can even think of is to bounce around the west coast.
