I'm going to be in Dresden for a day in a couple of weeks - curious if anyone has any recommendations for a good German lunch/dinner in and around the center of the city?
Thanks.

Restaurant Chiaveri (http://www.chiaveri.de/index.html) - on the river bank, walking distance from Semperoper.
Wettiner Keller, which is part of the Hilton Hotel (http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/DRSHITW-Hilton-Dresden-hotel/index.do;jsessionid=160028BC463C6DFDBC4FC0C35D1058 40.etc11?ctyhocn=DRSHITW&brand_id=HI&brand_directory=/en/hi/&xch=2693061,LAT5TBLQLK1D4CSGBIXMVCQKIYFCVUUC). , right behind the Frauenkirche.
There are several Lunch and Dinner options at restaurants of the Kempinski Taschenbergpalais (http://www.kempinski-dresden.de/en/home/index.htm)
It's across the street from Zwinger or Green Vault.
The food at all of these restaurants is excellent, not overly expensive and you can expect some regional flavours. :)
Thanks for the insight and recommendations.

BTW, should you find yourself touring the high-tech Volkswagen Transparent Factory (Glass Factory), the hotel also runs the restaurant, Lesage, that is housed there:

I would avoid Sophienkeller and choose from any other option at Taschenbergpalais. This restaurant is more like a big tourist trap.
