I am new to FT, and most of the discussions seem a bit advanced for me. I'm not even silver, no MRs, etc. etc.

My issue is this: I need about 10.5k more miles to book a FC ticket to Asia for a trip we are planning for next spring. Obviously, want to book ASAP to be able to use my miles.

Can anyone suggest an easy and cheap way to get these miles?

I have the juniper card, so I could get the BoA card, but that would cost me $90 bucks. Still this might be my best option. Unless I can get a SECOND Juniper card. But I have called Juniper 3 times and nobody is sure whether this would be allowed.

Any thoughts? Opinions?
Thanks very much in advance,
Leo

If you aren't flying to earn, getting the other card is probably your best bet to get that many miles in a reasonable time. Of course if you are in a real hurry, you could buy 10,500 from US for about $400 ($367 plus $25 in fees I think). That is more expensive, but not bad compared with the price of a FC ticket. It just depends on how much you want to spend to get peace of mind for having a ticket locked in. I assume you have scoped out the general availability of tickets for the time and routes you want - wouldn't want to spend money on miles only to find out you cant redeem (and if you have no status, blackout dates may apply in addition to general limits on award seat availability)

good luck!

PS Be persistent with the award reservations agents. If they tell you there is no availability, ask them to check out other options on other airlines and alternatte routings - and call back to try to get a more helpful or knowledgeable agent if needed
