I remember when I was a pup, near misses made headlines. Now-a-days they don't though incidents as I understand are on the rise... So how do I find out if I was on a flight that had a close call?
It's morbid curiousity really, but Monday I was on US 1526 on decent in to CLT when we pitched up and yawed right. I was in 2A looking out the window when I notice another wide body heading the other direction just below us about 800-1200 feet away. I've been on a passing plane before but never to the point where I could see the outline of the other against the ground lights.
On the plus side, my takeoffs equal my landings so all is well on that front.
