View Full Version : Does QR need a new Top Tier level?

As many of you know, QR Gold is their top level in the Privelege Club FFP.
This can be reached with only 50.000 status miles per year, which is very low. I will have already reached 150.000 status miles after my next trip and I do think that QR should think about a new Top Tier level, sth like Platinum (with a minimum of 100.000 status miles in one year), in order to make a difference for their most frequent fliers.

Any thoughts about this?

Not sure that they could offer anything substantive for this. Access to premium terminal? - not unreasonable to assume that anyone at a higher level is already flying J/F.

What would you be looking for?

- use of F lounge even when flying in J (similiar to LH HON)
- upgrading with miles from J to F
- guaranteed seat in J for reservations at least 48hrs before departure (if not 24hrs)
- 1 or 2 upgrade vouchers per year

I know, this is only called "dreaming" :)

to be honest, I don't think QR has enough really FFs to warrant a new tier level just yet.

In the future, it might become a reality though

I think the problem rests with the fact that QR is not the member of any alliance. With most FFs sticking to their alliance these days due to status many people (especially transit pax) are really only "trying out" QR at this stage.
