I'm scoping out some possibilities for my trip to Europe at the end of May, and found that there's a flight from Oslo to Bremen for 39 NOK. That's $6! That can't be right, can it?

Without knowing any details whatsoever, it's kinda hard to say
Of course it may always be a mistake fare, in which case it probably won't last long ...

Sure it can. I just booked a $0.12 flight from MAD to SNN where Transatlantics are much cheaper and they sell one-way fares. When they add in baggage fees and other charges and taxes those 'free' flights can get up to between $15 to $30 but still a good deal. There are of course no ff miles with these LCC's.
I am flying to Sweden from MAD next week that I got for around $18 total and then return in C with JK for $175, earning 3400 frequent flyer miles.

That's the Ryanair flight, I assume?
I just priced it out for a random date in May, and got the NOK39 rate, plus taxes comes to NOK216 (about $35US). Add a little more for ryanair's fee for using a credit card, baggage charges, etc.
Still not a bad deal, but all those extras definitely add up!

And if it is Ryanair, you have to factor in the inconvenience of getting to an airport (TRP) that is 120km[sic] from Oslo!

YIKES! That's not convenient at all!
Still, it's good to hear that the price may not be a typo. Even with the fees and taxes added, that's a pretty good deal.
And yes, it was a Ryanair flight. :)

If you do end up taking the flight from TRP, you can take a bus to get from Oslo to the airport.
about 2 hours, about $22US one way. Not ideal, but do-able.
But for that price and extra time, you might want to look at other LCCs from OSL to other cities in Germany - depending on your final destination, it might not be that much more expensive.

Try Norwegian (http://www.norwegian.no/) - they fly from Gardermoen the main Oslo airport
