Argh! I've been trying all morning to book a multi-city trip. The website takes forever and then just gives me error messages. How is it possible that after all these months the website STILL does not work? USAirways would do better to turn it off and start from scratch. It is completely unacceptable and their stupid apologies mean nothing. Just get it working. Today!

The inconsisteny of the web site bothers me more than anything.
Some days it will work perfectly ... The other day I purchased a multi-city trip (EWR-PHX-SFO-CLT-TRI-CLT-EWR) and it worked just fine - speedy, no errors, charged correctly, e-mail confirmation soon after.
Today I tried to book a simple EWR-TRI round trip and I'm getting error after error.

The error handling is just plain awful. If they know certian areas of the website aren't going to work or are broken for certain periods of time then why don't they just temporarily disable them rather than force me to wait around for 5 different 30 second screen loads only to find out there is an error in the end.
I suppose it is partially our fault for returning to the stupid thing. If the websites I work with were this bad my clients would drop service after the second problem. On the other hand I don't run an airline that people have to depend on whether or not it was their choice to begin with.

I usually can get a better price on Expedia. Often, if I have two connections on a trip, or a stopover on an international trip, it will not give a through price, and it prices some legs individually, while Expedia gives me a lower fare, and in one case +$200 lower. Does the web site use that "Shares" computer system? I think that the correct spelling of the system is "Scares."

The web site bookings are on 401 ticket stock (QIK/SHARES) versus 037 used by SABRE.
The problems occur as a result of the inconsistencies created by trying to run two legact computer apps at the same time. Lot's of code warrior stuff to unravel. So what you have in many ways is "A Perfect Storm" created.
Normal Legacy app integration issues
HP's legendary CHEAPNESS with everything they do
IT Arrogance coupled with typical shoestring budget
Poorly trained Web Tech Support for customers
Multiple GDS's to support.
Add all of those up along with the change in attitudes at Customer Relations from one of customer satisfaction to one of problem resolution and you have a disaster for everyone involved except Joe Beery who runs IT. He seems to be just fine and his check keeps coming to him, although I don't know why given this train wreck of a web site, which is arguably the WORST in the industry.

I'm just happy that it let me check-in for my flight tomorrow morning. :D
Has anyone else had issues with the homepage not displaying correctly in the new IE 7?

When I go to the website, only half of it loads. I am usually missing the photos and information on the right side of the screen.
USAirways has no answer for me on how to fix this problem. Any solutions?

If it's consistent, that sounds more like a browser problem. Which one are you using? I use safari, and alsthough the site loads, for the most part, it consistently gives an error on the calendar, and something it's calling from amwestmain. Also the book now section on the home page doesn't have a "action" button. However, as a mac user, I'm used to being marginalized
