Hi all,
I'm just wondering, other than ANA, which other airlines have service to Oita? I'm looking for tickets from HKG-OIT, or SFO-OIT.
thanks in advance

Oita Airport is served by both JL and JD(Japan Air System). More nonstops by JD from HND to OITA ( all on widebody Airbus ), There may be a few flights from KIX to OITA but if you are connecting from SFO, I suggest you take the bus transfer from NRT to HND.
Another option maybe that you fly into *** .
As Oita airport is located at the tip of a
peninsula that is about 60 minutes away from downtown Oita by road or hovercraft, many people with international connections at KIX or NRT simply take very frequent trains or bus service from Fukuoka Airport (*** ), where
non-stop connections are available to both NRT and KIX. Also flights from *** and HND/ITM are very frequently available by all three Japanese carries, JL,JD and NH.
(postscript)
Now dear, I had never imagined that Japan's
7th largest city gets so closed the foul language. ***is Fu Ku Oka (*** ) for your info. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

It should be about two hours by frequently run express bus servive. JR Kyushu also operates hourly shuttle Limited Express train service from Fukuoka Sta to Oita. Fukuoka Station is only one subway stop away from Fukuoka International Airport.
You can contact nearby JNTO ( Japan National Touritst Organization) who can provide you with information on these access )
If you can provide more specifics about your flight from SFO or HKG, I could help you with appropriate connecting information.
Incidentally, from NRT to HND, express bus runs every 20 minutes or so during afternoon
peak hours but travel time varies greatly depending on the time and day of travel. The
bus takes expressway right by the huge Disneyland complex that has really added an enormous amount of traffic recently. Allow
100 minutes minimum.
