Flying JAL for the first time next month. I cannot seem to find this online at japanairlines.com, so I thought I would ask here...

Anyone have the aircraft configuration (K04, K05, etc) for:

JAL 9/10 for ORD/NRT/ORD
JAL 710/719 for NRT/SIN/NRT

Flying First from ORD and Executive to SIN...any seating advice?

I have access to their seat map with real-time assignment data as well, if you can pick a date.

I had ORD-NRT in May or June in F and it was their solo seat (old version) and was fine.

For the K04 and K05 seating plans:

First Class is in A zone - individual suites: there are 5 rows along the outside with 'odd' numbering...

Row 1 CH
Row 2 AK
Row 3 CH
Row 4 AK
Row 5 CH

These are numbered in this fashion as it looks like the seats 'sandwich' together, so some are right up against the wall, some are slightly off-set.

Row 4 and Row 5 have one seat in the middle of the cabin, these are numbered 4D and 5G.

It looks like row 2 would offer a little more space. Row 1, with the seats off-set from the cabin wall would be closer together.

As for J class, this will vary between aircraft, but it looks like it will generally occupy B and C zones (2+3+2 seating), and on the K04 model it takes the upper deck. Best seats for upper deck look like row 19 which is by the exit. (Row 19 as the exit seats appears common for ALL 747-300/400 aircraft with J class on the upper deck - so it shouldn't matter which aircraft you have.)
