Or in any class of service, for that matter?

JAL now flies thrice weekly between Sao Paulo and JFK that is a continuation of a flight from NRT. They use 744 but it is a differencu configuration from JL005/006 in that in First, they use fully-flat seats that are in pairs. In Business, no new wider-pitch (60+ inch) seats are yet to be introduced. Finally, the aircraft has a much larger economy cabin largely to accommodate the Japan-Brazil immigrant traffic.
Service in First and Business should be superior to those by AA or RG, not to mention the food, however, AA's C class seats might be more comfortable.
Finnally, be ready to encounter the huge Japanese Brazilian passengers who each seem to have checked in 200 kilos of baggages.
In NRT, check-in for this flight bound for Sao Paulo creates quite a scene.
Speedobird san, I think First class experience should be quite pleasant as, most First class passeners disembark at JFK from NRT and unless its a specially busy season, you can count on having the whole pair seats to yourself.
