Can I book these to an AAdvantage account? Do they partner with other major US carriers?

Yes, you can. Just keep in mind that discounted economy generates only 70% of actual mileage flown internationally and 75% on domestic flights. Full Y gives 100%, C and F generate an additional bonus of 25% and 50%, respectively.

Unfortunately, they don't partner with Delta. JL was about to join Oneworld two years ago. The plan has been put on hold and it is still a possibility. I think if AA and BA are sucessful in their quest for anti-trust immunity beween the USA and Britain, then JL will joing Oneworld pretty soon.
What's your primary account? If it's AA, on most transpacific routes, there is a code share agreement between the two which you can buy under AA code and they will count as Q miles. I think they also code share on some Asian routes + I think JL still flies to MEX via YVR. Your profile indicates you also reside in MEX, so that might be useful for you.

Guova, what's your sense of the reason for the link between AA/BA antitrust immunity and JL joining Oneworld? I'm sure there's some good reason why the one might cause the other, but it's not immediately obvious to the likes of me...

jl/aa code share flights from the us to japan are usually priced at full y fares. aa flights to japan are sooo much cheaper. you may luck into an aa code share from japan to sin or bkk they may be a decent price. sometimes these routes are also covered by asiana via seoul.

Yes, Im looking at flying JL because of their flight from MEX-YVR... but now it looks like I may do this from NYC, so again change of plans. THanks to all for the tips, though.
