I was told by a JAL agent that the business class seat pitch on this particular 747-400 (no first class; upper deck is coach seating) was only 40 inches. That seems awfully short. What has been your experience on this airline? I'm using American miles for this flight so I won't be changing airlines, but I'd sure like to have a more spacious seating arrangement to look forward to. I will be flying in May so I'm afraid their recently announced seat replacements won't yet be on this plane. Thanks for any insight you can give me.
