JAL managers have decided to get out of the hotel and resort business to focus on running an airline and reshuffling its debt. “Business prospects for JAL are brighter than they have been for some time, and the outlook change anticipates continued improvement in the company’s debt-protection measures,” Moody’s acknowledges.
