Once airline direct depsoit is chosen, I think you will not be able to return to the SPG program until this promotion period expires.
Even after direct deposit is selected, your stays will still be counted toward your elite status.
You also get regular SPG points but please be forewarned that JL is one of the few SPG airline partners that go with a 0.5 to 1 point conversion ratio. Every two SPG points will be converted immediately to one JMB mile.
