Is it possible to upgrade JAL LAX-BKK-LAX with AA mileage? Would like to try the JAL service this DEC!

Wow, this is the third time this week that I've heard interest of upgrading JAL flights! Sorry to disappoint you, but AA does not offer JL upgrade awards. In fact, there are only two official ways of upgrading JAL flights: (1) using JAL Mileage Bank miles, or using (2) an upgrade coupon (issued once a year for top tier elites). Except to immediate relatives, both are non-transferable...
