Looks like QR lucked out on route to Melbourne as they have been working very hard to get. I think they want daily but only being allowed 3 x weekly. Correct me if I'm wrong but thats what I heard.

I honestly am not sure who will be flying daily from NYC to DOH or vice versa  Is there really a demand for such a daily service? Me think's its part of the EK, Etihad and QR supremacy war;)

Time will tell :)
CJ Enjoy.

Well they are definitely not banking on O&D traffic to make the new routes a success. Like EK its all about the connections to so many destinations.

Thats a good point....even then its a tad saturated. Well we as the FF's can only be the winners ;)

Thanks for the updates on QR!

I flew them for the first time last week and I was pretty impressed. The champagne is J was exceptional! The slippery slope seats were OK and I slept on my way back to HKG. PJ's (top only), Aigner ammenity kits, regional connection flights in F; not bad. The food was good (my choice was finished on the way back, but I wasnt that hungry anyway...). The FA's were a bit clueless, but that was my only comment till now.

I joined the privilege club; This looks pretty good, 100% bonus for J and 200% for F. 25% for silver and 50% for gold, with AFAIK bonus miles counting toward status. The miles calculation follows a matrix pattern; never seen this before. If you fly a 300 miles flight (min) and you fly in F (no J on short haul) as a Gold you get 1350 miles!!

This seems a pretty good deal. Has anyone written something more substantial on the QR FFP?
Let me know the link.
