I will be in Singapore for a few days Nov 14th - 17-18th for Medical checkup .

i am looking for reasonable decent hotel under s$100 , near MRT with free wireless. ( near Orchard or Quays best ) I have stayed @ hotel 81 in Geyland , they're fine . ( with out wireless , i believe) Does anyone have any suggestions.
I have bid Priceline for 4* , up to 65 us$ with no luck . but wireless and better deal are more important.

Also does any one have any suggestions for dentist ? or healthcare establishment for a dentist ?

What about using free wireless at some place like Funan IT mall? Or does it have to be at the hotel?

It's mildly surprising that the Orchard Road YMCA doesn't have wireless, at least according to JiWire. It does have a 24 hour cyber cafe, though.

Or, you could stay at the Hotel 81 Bencoolen and use one of the fairly close Internet cafes. Sorry, none of these suggestions answer exactly what you asked.

Flying in from States , on way to INDONesia. I am sure I will be tired first day or so ( laying around room )after taking care of appointments. but , if I have too, cafes will work . I am leaning towards hotel 81 in Geyland . $ is right , and dont mind hood.

Take a look at www.asiatravel.com. The YMCA Orchard is S$100. The Fragrance chain is represented there, too.

I've never stayed at any of the Fragrance hotels, just at Hotel 81 Palace. With the prices and location, I assume the Geylang Fragrance hotels, at least, have a lot of short stay guests.

Hotel 81 Bugis has a special on broadband access for $1 a day - more info can be found at http://www.hotel81.com.sg/index.shtml - that should still keep you under the SG$100 budget per night even for the extra $1 outlay per day. :D

I havent spent much time in SIN in a few years. hotel 81 will be fine. i got turned down on priceline up to 80 $ for 4 * . prices have definately gone up , as i recall

All McDonald in Singapore have free wireless internet, and there are McD everywhere.

Apologize for lack of info . I believe wireless was available in some rooms @ for $ . i was a bit banged up , 3 teeth removed by and by time i got back to hotel at nights. I hit bed . between painkiller , and jet lag was a groggy 3 days.

went to internet cafe for 4 $ hr around corner . and about same @ Orchard. left labtop in room . too tired to lug around.

Hotel 81 Bugis at 31 Middle Road within sight of the Intercontinental is S$79 (no window, Western ensuite toilet) mid week with, ta-da, S$1/day for 100Mb wired Internet. Quieter than Geylang with, so far, none of the red light aspect. But, then, this is mid-week. Helpful and friendly staff.

Good local food + cheap 640ml Tiger beer within a couple of minutes walk. Close to City Hall or Bugis MRT. This place is much more convenient than, say, the Hotel 81 Palace in Geylang for tourist stuff and proximity to the MRT.

Taxi driver didn't know where this fairly new hotel was. Tell them "near Shaw Tower on Middle Road."

Also, interesting that the airport shuttle, S$7, runs after midnight now, though at dumb times.
