I'm scheduled on a DC10 from HNL-PPT in late August. Is Hawaiian Airlines expected to still be running these then, or will they start introducing new aircraft on this route?

Also, is this a DC10-10 or DC10-30. What are the best coach seats to try and get?

These are almost entirely dash 10 series from American. Tail numbers use the AA designator, and the interiors are untouched. I believe they recently picked up one or two ex Continental aircraft. This is a long flight (6 hours), and the return leg is a redeye. It is fairly easy to upgrade. You can buy them at the gate 3 hours prior to departure, and the cost is not prohibitive. You can also use Amex or Diners miles. They haul some cargo on this route, so I would expect the continued use of the DC-10. If they are getting 767's, I don't think it is immediate. Seat pitch isn't too bad in coach, so any aisle on the sides is OK.
