Any half decent places to eat clam chowder or lobster bisque in the Boston airport? are there any stores that sell it to take it on your travels? (ie: those made in XXXXX state store or made local store?)
A co-worker was heading there and asked. I've flown through BOS a half dozen times this year, but never bothered to look.
Thanks.

Yes,
Legal Seafood has locations in Terminals A, B & C that sell very good chowder. Which airline is this person flying? That info will help you get a more specific answer to your question.

Should have remembered Legal Seafoods... I had their lobster bisque which was pretty good although salty. I believe he's flying from BOS on Continental through one of their hubs in the US so either to IAH, CLE, or EWR.
Do any stores specialize in the "take this home in parts and heat it up"?

If you're in Terminal A (Delta), there's a Jasper White's Summer Shack (http://www.summershackrestaurant.com/Locations_Logan_Menu.asp) - they have clam chowder (which I've heard is very good), in addition to a fairly extensive menu (I've never had a bad meal at a Jasper White's).
Your Flying out of term C. There is a full Legel Seafoods on the united side of the terminal before security. There is also a smaller Legel Raw bar on the Continental side of the terminal again before security, where i belive you can get chowda and shell fish as well as live lobsters to take with you.

Can you take the soup, fish, or lobsters through security currently?

so is there anything available after security? (gate side) or can soups and such be taken through security?

I expect soups would be subject to the baggie and 3oz container rules, so no, they couldn't be taken through security.

Just to close the loop: my coworker said he spent 40 minutes looking for soup-to-go after passing security with no luck. I found the statement and his facial expression extremely amusing, but alas no soup for me.
