Hi

I just bought a Reday To Fly ticket with Lufthansa to Milan for travelling this weekend. The main reason for travelling is shopping. Can anybody recommend any good factory oulets in the region for men's clothing (Zegna, Prada, Gucci etc)? I will probably rent a car. I have heard aboutThe Place Factory Outlet. Has anybody been there?

I also need adwice regarding hotel (hopefully near Malpensa airport, but other areas is also interesting). Price is more important than comfort for this trip.

Cheers

Best hotel option at MXP (and others might try to convince you to stay in the center city, but for what you have planned, I think you're doing it right) is probably the Crowne Plaza, located between T1 and T2. Complimentary parking for registered guests, something of a rarity at most airport hotels:

An alternate is the Villa Malpensa (plain if clean rooms, grand public areas):

I own a tour company, Shop Around Tours, that offers designer outlet shopping tours in Italy, and the two outlet malls near Milan that I take my groups to are Foxtown, which is in Mendrisio, Switzerland (http://www.foxtown.ch/mendrisio/us/welcome.html) and Serravalle (http://serravalle.mcarthurglen.it/index.php?lang=en). Their websites list the stores there. Foxtown has Prada and Gucci and both have menswear. The only Zegna outlet I know of is outside Florence.

Feel free to PM me if you need more info.
