I read about this service on the starwood forum, couldnt find a thread about it here and thought it might be of interest to folks on this forum. So here is a quick review, the contact information and a link to the thread in the starwood forum.

I first read about the service here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=613300

You can get it through most hotels by asking for "Royal Care & Service Company" (I got it through the Grand Hyatt). It costs roughly 1700 TB. Here are more details:

Wow- after 20+ hours of travel, this service was worth it. I walked off the front of the plane down the jetway, 60 seconds later I saw a sign with my name on it and handed off my heaps of carrry on luggage (ok we're moving over here so I've been trying to take advantage of every pound I'm allowed!). The NW flight I was on parked, way, way down at the end of a concourse in the new airport and as I was escorted toward the center of the terminal concourse (and immigration) tons of people were merging onto the conveyer belts. I'm not sure what the immigration lines were like, but I was taken through a special opening where there was no line, given a stamp and then walked through to luggage claim. The conveyer had just started turning as we walked up and my bags were #2, 3 & 4 off the conveyer. Within 5 more minutes I was loaded into my hotel's sedan and on my way to the hotel. All told exiting jetway to sitting in the car was 15 minutes tops. The impressive thing was that there were 2 women to escort me and one lone guy to take my luggage. Three people, now that's full employment!

In my limited experience the Immigration lines at the new BKK are much, much faster than at the old airport. I believe this is due mainly to there being more open Immigration desks. I am comparing similar arrival times at new vs. old. On my first int'l arrival, I stepped off the aircraft at gate D-7 at 23:00, and was in a metered taxi at 23:10, so 10 minutes. This included a stop at the duty-free on-arrival. I did not have any checked bags.

I have used the fast-track service, a complimentary service to TG F customers, arriving at the old airport, and it was a time-saver there.

For first-time visitors, especially those who might be at all physically challenged managing a lot of bags, 1,700 baht (~ 46 USD) seems like a reasonable price to pay for an all-in escort from jetway to hotel.

IIRC that 1700 THB does not include transportation. But for more than 1 person you only need 1 car. If your hotel offeres the service, they usually require a hotel sedan to be reserved.

I think it is because they're no longer taking your picture at immigration. That always took an extra 30 seconds, and if you think of being 10th in line, that's 5 minutes extra waiting right there.
