View Full Version : Is Skypass mandatory for online booking over koreanair.com ?

I would like to book a BKK-SEL ticket from Korean Air but would like to have the miles credited to my Delta account.

However, www.koreanair.com apparently requires a Skypass membership for buying a ticket online. They have an enrollment form for those hapless souls that cannot produce a Skypass number in an instant.

Does anybody know of a way around it by any chance?

You have to have SkyPass to buy tickets on the KE site.. Once you do that you can TRY to change your FF# to your Delta account. Like so many things with KE (and, to be fair, most other airlines) it really depends on the person you end up contacting. I've managed to do it but the hassle factor is so high I just avoid buying from the KE site. In the US I have managed to get the same prices on Orbitz. In Korea I have managed to get the same prices using an agent.

Good Luck!

You should be able to change your FF number at check-in or at the gate. Make sure the agent gives you a new BP which lists your DL Skymiles number.

i have done what jpdx suggests myself; it's painless and it works.

Same here, with no problems.
