If SIN is a travellers' final destination, is it possible to stay at the transit hotel?
How does one collect their baggage? My understanding that this hotel is located pre-customs and immigration.
Is it possible to still get to the hotel once you get your bags?
Thanks for the help!

If memory serves, go to immigration and tell them you would like to retrieve your luggage as you are staying at the transit hotel. They should hold your passport and let you r
etrieve your bags. Then return to immigration and collect your passport. Walk up the stairs and go to the transit hotel.
Why would you want to stay in the terminal if you are at final destination?

Just figured it would be easier to stay there after 24 hrs of flying. Arriving very late, and didnt want to be bothered adding another 30-60 minutes to journey which would be a short night anyway travelling into the city. If I buy a block of time and travel into SIN in the morning.

Well, you will be arriving late, as will many other pax. As for staying at Changi, I submit to you that that is a mistake. It is not anywhere near 45-60 minutes (more like 20-30) to get into SIN, and if you're "awake" at the time you land, you're much more likely to enjoy being in town than at Changi.
To each their own - I'd never stay at the airport in SIN - way too much great food after arrival!!

I've done this before when flying in SQ, even with checked baggage. Upon arrival, just don't claim your baggage. The transit hotel, it will be either In T1 or T2 depending on the connecting airline you will mark on your reservation request, is actually nice. The Ambassador for example is clean and quiet, most importantly, cheap and inside the airport.
When you check out then, allow plenty of time for this, clear immigration and then walk to Lost and Found items and collect your bag. The last time I did this, SQ had my bag within 20 minutes. Good luck!

I think that I would want to collect my bags after arrival. As a previous kind reply indicated, immigration might let one collect baggage. Can anyone else confirm that they have been able to successfully to do so? I don't want to leave my baggage unclaimed.
Thanks.

Yes, you can do this, but I'd recommend staying in the city instead.
