Just wondering what I can expect in terms of seating comfort etc if I go down this route?

Thanks

I flew FCO-DOH in September on a QR A300 and found the older style biz seats (non shell) to be very comfortable for a 5 hour flight.

The only drawback is there is no seat-back IFE, but the portable DVD player and choice of movies (about 10 English plus other languages) is ok. Food/Wines were fantastic and service was exemplary.

Seat comfort is great. Not as nice as the new A330s but more than comfortable enough for Doha-Europe/Africa/Asia flights. As nzed said, there is no PTV which I found to be a significant drawback. There is an acceptable selection of dvds but nothing spectacular.

Was on TXL-DOH today, the first flight with an A300 on this route. The old F class seats are sold as C class (12 in total), with very comfortable seats and an huge seatpitch. The former C seats on that flight were given to Y pax, who received the normal Y service but could make use of the better seats that in the regular Y cabin.

Overall, I was really satisfied!

I flew in C on the A300 DOH-KTM in May. The seats were good, i think flat seats but at an angle. There was no first class, so there must be two versions of the A300 in QR fleet.

Can't remember much, but, due to the odd recline, i think i kept on sliding down. C in this flight was empty except for 3 other people, and since we deaprted around mid-night from Doha, i was more intent on sleeping then on the IFE.

thanks

I flew DOH-CMB on an A300-600 on 2nd Oct. QR was selling their F cabin as C.

As berlinflyer says, the seats have huge pitch and are completely lie flat. They have just the right level of softness and are very comfortable. Air India use the same seats and Royal Jordanian use these in their Crown Class.

There is no IFE and the DVD collection is average. However, we had a fantastic crew, all ex-9W (the second generation) and service was outstanding.

Somehow I don't find the food on QR all that good...and I generally like airline food.

I'm flying LHR-DOH-CPT (via JNB) and was just about to post the same question. So I am curious myself what people's thoughts are. I wish more would post.

Thanks,
