Hello, I would like to rent a place for 2 people, in a nice area, near a beach, possibly with a pool too, in the Dominican Republic for a long New Year week end (Friday to Tuesday). Would anyone have recommendations, please? Thanks, it would be our first time there, we would like to go shopping at a local market and cook at home.

What area of the DR - into which airport are you flying? Near resort or a town? My instinct would be Puerto Plata/Cabarete, with a proviso: it can be wet and rainy on the north shore around new years - though Cabarete is a good new years party.
