Hi!
I'm SkyTeam Elite Plus (NW Platinum). If I call the Korean Air res #, will I be able to get exit row or other good elite seats on a KE flight from BKK to ICN? Any suggestions are appreciated!

not sure about BKK to ICN, but I know that exit rows on Korean Air (and Asiana) are usually blocked and only GA's at the airport on the date of departure is able to reserve them while checking in...(had times when VIPs reserved the exit rows, but that was only for special VIPs)

i suggest you get to the airport as early as possible...i believe the counters open 3 hours before the departure, and if you are first in line, you'll be able to get the exit row - (since you're a elite plus, you could probably check in at first or business class checkin - faster than others)

gluck!

KE doesn't usually allow you to reserve exit seating, which devalues the concept of ST Elite "preferred" seating. I have arrived at the airport early (as described above) several times only to find that all the exit rows were gone. So I have to assume that some of their own elites, or folks with "connections," can indeed reserve them ahead of time.

KE can be a huge pain about getting exit seats. Heck, without the Elite status it can be hard to get seats assigned period. But as NWA Elite you can go to the Morning Calm desk even if you are flying coach which has helped me score Exit seats.

Good luck
