The new e-certs don't have fare classes listed for eligibility for a CP Envoy Upgrade. Is it still just MHQYB? While they were never super-cheap, the lowest M fare BNA-LGW in January is $1500+ r/t. Last year you could get PHL-LGW in B class (non-ref) for $600. Did they change the classes this month for those certs when they did the whole reclassification?
If not - that's ridiculous. Any comments on what's better US A330 or UA E- on a 767 or 777?

I would take Envoy on the A330 over F or C on the UA 763, I would also take Envoy over C on the 777, but if you can confirm a F seat on the 777 then I would definitly go that route. Basica Rule for me is that Envoy on the A330 is better than UA C on the 747(except for row 15) and the 777, rule number 2 never fly UA 767 F,C,Y+,Y period.

What could be that bad about a 763 on UA? (only flown them Domestic in F - was just fine - the UA board people make way too much of a fuss)

The Internationaly configured 767-300 are old, the IFE is terrible and alot of the F and C seats a very worn, the controls are all manual for the seats and they are very narrow.

Are you referring to the e-certificates given to Charimans?

Under the new fares, it's cheaper to buy the low fare and then GoEnvoy.... glad I won't have to actually qualify for CP this year....

This is a great point! Unless, we are really traveling for work and they are going to pay, I don't think anyone in their right mind would buy M fares and try to use their certs... I know I didn't. In fact I took a LH/UA flight, becuase I couldn't justify the cost.
It might be time to rethink this over in Tempe or make the certs similar to the DSC0087's. After 100K in the seat... we sould get something useful.
Alternatively, they could make the certs with the same restrictions as they are for Hawaii.... (anybody else agree with me here?) @:-)

How about making them comprable to SWUs or eVIPs (valid on any published fare)? I don't understand how you CP's put up with US's highest level. If I flew that much I'd be over to UA or AA in a heartbeat.

I agree but it's all about routes. Not a single other airline offers a viable schedule between PHL and BNA. I love UA but this is a UA Express only city with awful cancellation rates to ORD and lousy schedules to evil Dulles. AA offers mediocre ORD connections and now CR7s plauge a couple ORD-PHL flights.
