I maintain the Div Miles account for an elderly aunt. With the new shortened expiry of miles, she needed "activity". I found the USAirways link http://www.usairways.com/awa/content/dividendmiles/earnmiles/other.aspx that shows that it should be 25 miles bonus for signing up for Points.com tracking (and hence a free "activity", which is all I wanted).
On the Points.com website, it says 10 bonus miles from USAir Dividend miles for signing up today 10/17/06, from https://points.com/acquisition/newaccount.do?method=start&c=0511-80001-015. (it also works for any other combo of numbers in the URL.)
When I sent Dividend Miles an online email (via the form), asking them to please credit the additional 15 miles, I got back a "form letter" informing me that the criteria for a 5000 mile bonus for new enrollees in February 2006 was not met. Sorry, no miles.
While the DMSC was mentioned, the name signed was highly unusual, probably from Haiti or Africa, from online database searches.
I do hope that US Airways / USAir improves such tracking of promotions, as well as their responses, for Dividend Miles.
