Last nite I went in to ticket 2 tickets that I had booked on the phone
\
#1 Using a USAir "free ticket voucher" that I had been told I could use as $200
#2 Using a HP Travel voucher for $300 that had been issued 11/05
The tickets were for Xmas
#1 went very smoothly - so I can vouch that those "free ticket vouchers" are worth $200 credit
#2 - well the voucher was going to expire before the travel date. TA asked her sup to extend it - but that was not to be. However - they offered that they would book me a ticket before the expiration date and then just charge me a change fee-------wow that was above and beyond as I at least got most of the value out of it.
If anyone is PHX based and has "above and beyond " certs - could you PM me and I will give you the name of the TA - so you can give her one from me :)
On a side note - right behind me came the Matzalan flight 6 hours late - all passengers had misconnected. They had new tickets, hotel and meal vouchers printed out for everyone - and brought up 6 people that were clearly getting ready to go home ( this was almost 10pm and the desk officially closes then) to move everyone through expidiously. I was very impressed
