Recently posted to the US Website.... check it out....

My favorite part.. where do you get 20% off

15% CDG
10% LGW, AMS and MXP
Pay with Mastercard Oct 15-Dec 15
Travel through Feb 28th

Where is the other 5%????

Also as a CP, do you get miles, double mile and CP miles or do you get quadruple miles?

they must have caught the mistake - it says 15% now.

This is a fairly old promo, last I checked it last week it still said "to seven cities" even though the same 4 were listed.

Maybe they've been slowly un-sweetening the deal to less % off and less cities? ;-)

It still says 20% on the home page: http://www.usairways.com/awa/

I just tried to price out some trips on the web and it keeps telling me my dates are not valid for this promotion. (I've tried various non-blackout dates between now and 12/15.) Is anyone having success with this promo, or does it require a phone call?

I had no luck, either.

I hadno luck either.

This seems to be a follow-up to the Mastercard promotion that ended a few weeks ago...except w/ the dbl miles and a few less cities.

I just called someone at the usairways.com help desk, who confirmed that he's not able to book this promotion over the website either. I'm giving up for now...

If only we could get the US website guys to work for the IRS... :p

Appears to be working now. Though the miles preview window does not show that the points are doubled. I would guess these are prefered miles but don't feel like doing a long MR like this unless I knew for sure. Getting about 20K prefered miles for $404 would be nice :)

Nope, it says in very small print at the bottom that bonus mile do not go towards elite status.

Still not working for me, because it continues to complain about my dates of travel. But maybe I'm doing it wrong. How are you entering the promo code to make it work?

DRAT! I missed that. I was seriously thinking of putting myself through 24 hours of coach for that.

I just copy & pasted the code into the e-certs space. It seemed to have issues w/ me checking the 'nearby airports' box.

It looks like they added a condition which wasn't there earlier:
Travel is valid December 1, 2006 through February 28, 2007

Which explains why my November trip wasn't working.

This is the second promo (http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=608495) in a row where the terms and conditions had to be updated after being published, since they were either wrong or incomplete initially. Sloppy work.

It worked for me today, though the discount doesn't appear on the initial list of fares. Instead, when you go to purchase the ticket, the percentage deduction is listed as a separate line item in the fare calculation (it does display a red star next to the qualifying fares).

There is another catch to this promotion: the discount doesn't apply to the fuel surcharge, which is part of what you see as the pre-tax base fare. Thus, a fare of $168 each way is actually a fare of $103 and a fuel surcharge of $65, and the discount is only off the $103.

Still, it's a pretty sweet deal. I got a round-trip ticket to London for about $430 including all the taxes and fees, I get back almost enough frequent flier miles for another domestic round-trip, and for me, the base preferred miles will let me hit gold status for the year.

Now I just need to hope the baggage allowance will let me take enough clothes to stay warm in London in December. :)

Working on the same poor T&C, can anyone answer the question...

Do you get double miles for all European flights or just to the four cities listed. The wording would make you think you get double to Europe and the discount only to those cities....
