The back of the BOA & Juniper $99 companion certificate states: - ….. Stopovers, open jaw/open returns, reissues and itinerary changes are per applicable fare rules …

I have called USAirways and asked about a stopover and they said you can only use the certificate for a round-trip. That seems to conflict with the terms on the back of the certificate. Has anyone used the certificate with a stopover?

I also find that the fares over the phone are often $50 - $100 higher than on the website. This means the true companion fare could be $149 to $199 because you can get a lower fare on website. With these certificates there are also about $30 in taxes and fees.

I just booked a multi-leg trip using the BofA cert. PHL-IAH-CLT-FLL-PHL. In fact, the pricing over the phone came out to about $20 less than the website. Total for 2 - $451.40.

I used the cert on an open jaw pit-den/pdx-pit. The csr said no at first, but put me on hold to check and then said ok.
