I logged to my US account to check my reservation for November 8th in order to pick a new seat. US had changed my flight and picked a new seat for me that ignored my aisle preference, but that is another thread in itself.
Anyways, imagine my surprise when I find that I already flew this flight, and I did so today (August 30th)! Here is what I see when I go to "Manage Reservations":

So does anyone know what this means, or why it happened?

Wow - another new low - just blame it on underpaid outsourced IT work
My reservations sometimes show up, sometimes don't - and sometimes show as chnaged when they weren't.....

I have no idea how it happened, but...MDT-LGW for $76.60?! Wha?! If that's accurate, then nice find!

While I'm sure there are some pieces being outsourced, the entire effort follows the HP anti-outsourcing attitude:
Forgot to mention that it is an award reservation....$76.60 is the sum of taxes and fees! ;)

Just experienced this too -- in "manage my reservations" are 1) a trip I already flew two weeks ago, and one scheduled for 9/15. What is missing is my 9/11 flight. I am worried that somehow I won't be in the queue for the automatic upgrade; I emailed USAir, but it has been four days, and no response ...
sts603 -- did you have any problem with the auto upgrades for the reservations that did not show up in your manage reservations?

As messed up as they are, call. The chances of a timely response to your email are slim.

There was a thread around here somewhere about rationalizing the booking codes. And people were saying "check you stuff."
I'd be willing to wager money this is a result.

This has always been an issue with the HP site.
I've had flights in the future flagged as "flown" and flights in the distant past flagged as "ticketed". It's never caused a problem with my upgrades going through.
Truthfully, I've never had an issue in the HP system. My upgrade woes have been exclusively on the US (east) part of the system.

Unfortunatly I think they were all RJs....so no good answer. I'll find out I guess at Thanksgiving - where my next missing reservation is for.

I would be nervous about posting that image undoctored. It's pretty easy for someone to get a fair ammount of info about you with a date and confirmation code.

Thanks. I am going to call about my missing reservation; if the response is in anyway enlightening I will let you know... (what is also weird about that one is that the conf. # includes a zero, not an alpha. I was once told by an USAir agent that the conf #s never had numerics in them...)

I'm the original poster here....just got off the phone with 3 different people from US.
First I called web site tech support. They immediately transferred me to international reservations. International wanted to transfer me to tech support, and I said I just came from there. The agent said "Why?" in a disgusted tone of voice. So when I figured he couldn't help me, I hung up and called tech support again.
Anyways, it turns out that when the agent re-issued my ticket because of a fligth change, my ticket number got changed from a 401 to an 037, whatever that means. So now I am on a US issued ticket, instead of an HP issued ticket. So naturally, a US ticket doesn't show up on the US website!
(Actually it does if I type in the code manually, but I have no idea why it doesn't just show up under my profile).
I manage databases for a living, and there is no way I could get away with merging 2 systems this badly and still have a job

I had a (different) issue very recently. Managed to get through to online support for the first time. Afterwards, they offer to e-mail you the conversation, which I thought was great - if there turns out to be an issue, I've got proof they said it was OK!

nicedream and mallthus,
You should pull down the images that show confirmation numbers and travel dates together. It would be very easy to go on usairways.com, enter the info and see your names, phone numbers, DM numbers, not to mention cancel your flights.

Make that underpaid NOT outsourced IT work. The website was done in house. Paying someone whose core competancy is web design makes good sense. I hire US employees to fly me, why don't they hire someone to get their web site in good shape?

That's just it. The systems (SHARES and SABRE) haven't been merged. If it's any consolation, rest assured that running "one airline with two systems" is just as frustrating for ticket counter and gate folks.

I agree, it can be highly frustrating! However, US and HP have not yet even begun to merge the two systems. So your job would be safe.

I am going to write a short letter to US Airways, and attach a screenshot of what the itinerary page looks like. What would be the best place to send it? The customer service address on the website, or some other place?

I am worried that somehow I won't be in the queue for the automatic upgrade; I emailed USAir, but it has been four days, and no response ...
Thought I would report on what I learned from US about this. First I called the Gold desk, and after reviewing my question was told that the 9/11 reservation (which is PHL-RDU) did not show up in my manage reservations because it was an HP flight and therefore had an HP reservation #. The agent told me the US reservation #, and assured me she would make a note requesting an upgrade. Note: -- I did in fact make the reservation before the supposed merge of the resrevations system that happened over labor day, but since this flight is completely eastcoast based, and to my knowledge HP never flew PHL-RDU, it is weird that this would have an HP reservation.
Then, just 2 days ago, I received an email in response to my question as well. The email said, in part:
Dear Ms. FSBgirl,
Thank you for visiting usairways.com.
We apologize for the late response to your email and any inconvenience
that this may have caused you.
Only those reservations that have been created in your profile will be
available there. The reservation you have referenced was made on the
website and your Dividend Miles number is in the reservation, but since
you cannot find it in your profile, it was not created while you were
logged in. You may retrieve it from the website, however. Since your
number is in the reservation, it is eligible for the complementary
upgrade. That is automatic with the inclusion of your Dividend Miles
number. I have checked your reservation and the upgrade has been
requested. Your other record locator, for the US Airways side of our
airline is ...
If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to
reply. We know that you have many choices and we thank you for choosing
US Airways!
Sincerely,
Kathleen P.

US Airways
And now, since today is 3 days out from my flight, my biggest concern was would I get my upgrade. No email notification (which I have received without problem on others), but when I checked the reservation on line, I had indeed been upgraded. :)
I did respond to Kathleen P , thanking her for her response and suggesting that it is completely illogical to only list reservations made when someone is logged into his/her account (guess they have never heard of secretaries making rservations for their boss..)
So your guess is as good as mine -- was it not listed because it is an HP reservation, or because I did not log in? In any event -- always call and get on the list for upgrade if the reservation does not show up in your future reservations.
