If it is really a 777, there's no first class, business class is the highest. 777 business seats are excellent.

I was on KE 654, the later BKK-ICN flight, two days ago. It was operated by a B777-300, with small First and Prestige (business) Class cabins. The F was 2-2-2, and the C was 2-3-2. F had two rows and C had either two or three rows. So, whatiseconmyorcoach, can you clarify your post? Do you mean that KE sells only two classes, despite nominally having three onboard, such that some C pax will be seated in what is called F? Or is it a case of KE using a different a/c on KE 652, the earlier flight, with only two classes?
As I was in Y, mercifully with a few seats next to me open on an otherwise very full flight, I can't offer more to the OP than noting that KE 654 had three classes in name at least.
Slightly OT, Don Muang was looking quite a bit worse for the wear this week. In May it was obvious that maintenance was being let slip, but it has really gone downhill since. AoT plainly decided not to spend another baht on the place. Can't wait for Suvarnabhumi to open.

I flew ATL->ICN about 18 months ago on a 777 and had row 1 on a biz ticket. I absolutlely don't remember if the sections were 2-2-2 then 2-3-2 or not, but the service was the same as all other Biz I have flown on KE, and the seats about normal for Biz.
Maybe because this flight is heavily sold in Biz (often has no availability) they just sell F as C?

I could not disagree more with that statement! The old seats are simply AWFULL! even the F ones on long distance. They are old an I mean OLD, you can feel the metal bar holding the seat in your back. At least I can. For that reason I will not take KE 1 until they update the seats.
The new seats however are nice. So, markarber, good luck finding if you have new seats or old seats. By the way, the website supposed to give that info is wrong. I took KE12 and though the web site says it's old seats, it was in fact new seats. Otherwise I would have refused to get on board.

Agree. ^
Arrived here today after 20 hours on those flying KE Museum pieces.
AMS-ICN, ICN-SYD.
How on earth someone as major as Korean can be flying 1980s interior cabins long haul sure beats me.
Terrible pitch, poor recline, near useless footrests for anyone taller than 5'7", no snake lights, narrow seats, no amenity kits even which amazed me.
And the SYD-ICN flight 2 weeks back was the same. All 3 planes had a "First" section with seats that looked awful similar to me. The AMS-ICN had ONE row of "First".
Stewardesses dressed like some Manga design project gone wrong AND these ancient seats are a double joke IMHO.
For ICN-AMS-ICN KLM (747) and KE depart neat the same time. Give me KLM upstairs ANY day over KE, and any business traveller with a brain would concur I imagine.
