Hi Everyone,

Apologies that my early posts are questions! I love the site and the great knowledge base that seems to be out there :)

Anyway, quick question...

Do US allow any leniency on award travel? I am 81 miles short of an award ticket and I was wondering if I call them they would let me book an award. I've checked the site and the flights I want have award travel available.
If not, what's the quickest/cheapest/easiest way to get 81 miles without having to purchase miles on the site or take a flight?

Unfortunately I have no elite status or anything as bargaining power with them.

Thanks again,
Paul

If there are any participating restaurants near you, you might think about doing the Dividend Miles Dining (http://www.usairways.com/awa/content/dividendmiles/earnmiles/dining.aspx) thing...

They've got a pretty good promotion going on now where you can get an extra 250 miles for each meal where you spend at least $15 (4 maximum for 1000 bonus miles).

try this (http://points.com/join/c?c=0505-99015-017), it's free. it was helpful when people needed activity to avoid miles expiration.

In the meantime, you can ask US that the award ticket be placed on a 3-day hold so that it is still available to you once the miles post.
