I like to complain about USAir but when it comes to upgrades I have no complaints. I started flying US in November and am currently Gold preparing to go Platinum this week. Most of my segments are on RJ's but on the mainline flights I have been on, I am 12/13 on upgrades and only missed on a PHX-CLT transcon because of the messed up website. I give them a big thumbs up for that.
Are other seeing similar success or have I just been choosing the right flights?

I fly through phenix so usually the upgrades are gone by the time my 2 day time limit hits, but lately I have been doing very good with my upgrades.

I haven't counted them, but I have gotten ALL of my possible upgrades so far this year.
I do go out of my way though to pick the correct planes and check on the fare buckets before I buy my ticket though. I don't just blindy buy a ticket without regard to the chances of an upgrade.
Only one has not cleared at the 7 day window, but I got it at the gate.

That's an advantage of being CP ...
As Silver, most of my upgrades don't come through. And for transatlantic flights: my experience is that Europe-US upgrades usually clear, but US-Europe (where you really need the Envoy chair to get some sleep) are a problem.

I've spent more than a few times in the back of the 'bus, usually on phx-dfw and phx-cmh flights this year. :(

Oh another thread on upgrades.
Why don't you all put a twist on it and talk about (a)Your upgrades on tickets purchased outside your window, and (b)your upgrades on tickets purchases inside your window.
For me as a CP if I purchase more than 7 days out, lately the upgrades have been really good (better than in the past). However, if I purchase less than 7 days out it's been pretty rough and I wind up in the back of the bus. For some of my routes though, early Monday morning upgrades for me have been non-existent for a while (CLT-ORD)...but then again I'm not on a 7-day purchase with these sometimes, and US is holding 2-3 seats for revenue.
Recently had a PHL F/A tell me there have gotten to be so many CP's that it's been quite a while since she saw a SP or GP in F.

I always purchase well in advance and I believe I am probably 100% on upgrades as a CP this year.

100% as Gold last year. 100% as CP this year (on an admittedly small sample...10 or so non RJ flights).

I think I'm 1 for 34 segments on upgrades this year as a gold. I'm not sure how you other guys are doing it. Does anyone have a worst track record?

just got silver, and am 3/4. i missed the one by one seat...(and it was a flight to vegas). Only America West operated flights cleared me at the 48hr window when there were open seats. US flights wouldnt....had to do it at gate.

Of my roughly 90 or so segments so far this year, on non-RJs, I have only missed 2. They were award flights PHL-LAS-PHL.
Other than that, I have been upgraded on all mainline flights.
