According to a fellow ftflyer, QR offers upgrade Y->C ex Germany at check-in for €300, at least for MUC-DOH.

Anybody ever done that ? Do you know about the current prices ?

I'm scheduled to fly FRA-DOH-SIN next Friday. My ticket will be a o/w ticket, probably full fare Y and I'm eagerly looking myself to treat me with an upgrade if not too expensive.

Ex-Berlin (TXL), the price is 300€ for o/w to DOH. I guess the same for FRA_DOH.

From DOH to SIN, they offer 200€ (you should buy this upgrade in FRA, not DOH!!). It´s a very good price for an awsome product!

what are my chances of being able to upgrade from economy to business or first on my flight from LGW to DOH?

Y= Economy Class
C/J = Business Class

In order to upgrade, you either need to pay for it or use miles. If the flights are overbooked, you need to be Qatar Airways QMiles Elite member to get a chance for an upgrade. If they still need to upgrade more passengers, they will choose by luck. It always helpsif you are dressed nice and travel alone.

Don´t expect double upgrades Y to F on QR!!

You mentioned earlier, that the ticket would be probably in full fare Y and it is an one-way ticket.

Therefore the fare basis may be YOW, which normally isn't far away from COW.

I would at least call BA and inquire about the difference.

At BA you can do an on board upgrade from Y to Y+ or Y+ to C - check the BA board for more info. Ask you travel departmet whether you are in Y+ and otherwise pay the difference (shouldn't be that much more if its a full Y ticket).

im flying soon CDG-DOH-CEB.... according to QR office, the upgrade at check in is possible for the CDG-DOH leg, cost 500€.... regarding the second leg DOH-CEBU, the agent said it's not possible to do it from CDG....
Is it correct? and how much do u think it would cost?
It seems it's much more expensive than FRA or TXL.....

Very good point....full-fare J class TXL-HKG is usually 2.200€ all in, about 50% of the LH fare.
