Although I'm german, I'm thinking about where to get a great american style breakfast(i.e. eggs, french toast, bacon) im Singapore.
I will stay at "swissotel the stamford" and don't like to have breakfast at the hotel.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

My two suggestions would be Simply Bread (http://www.simplybread.com.sg/)
and Epicurious (http://www.epicurious.com.sg/), although neither website seems to list their breakfast offerings (on weekends only!). The bigger problem for you though is that they're both in Robertson Quay, quite a hike away from the Stamford, and while they're good they're not that good. :(
I'd try out the hotel breakfast though if I was you, they can be quite good in Singapore. Alternatively, if you want to try breakfast Singapore style, track down the nearest Ya Kun Kaya (http://www.yakun.com/) or Killeneys Kopitiam (http://www.killiney-kopitiam.com/) outlet.

My suggestions:
1. Find a friend with a membership at the American Club.
2. DeliFrance (http://203.116.91.41/sg/sitebranches/whatsnew/articles_view.jsp?id=2&page_id=22) for pastries/breads.

I have never thought about the American Club and I do have a friend that is presently a SIN resident and he has a membership. Thanks
