There are no low cost options from NRT to ANYWHERE in Asia.

Consolidators in Japan will sell one way tickets but not for much discount from the RT price.

I believe there is a low cost alternative from HKG, maybe you could do the UA flight from NRT to HKG and couple it with that -- but only 1k/UGS can get one way awards on UA (and even then, you often have to educate the agent that it is allowed, there is a sticky on the UA forum that gives the reference).

Good price. Unfortunately I was looking for December.

The TA's don't usually place fares in the market until 3 months before. So depending on your desired dates you might try waiting a bit..........
